We are delighted with the growth of Harbord F.C. over the past few years. It’s a real pleasure to see so much interest in both juniors and seniors and as always, we are looking ahead to next season and how we can set up our great club for success again in 2023.
One area that has been widely discussed in the last few seasons is the creation of a competitive O45s Men’s team, in which there has been growing interest, and we believe 2023 will be the year we can make this happen.
Why an O45 Men’s team is a great step for Harbord F.C.:
- Each year we turn away players who want to play in Men’s O35 as there are not enough places. This reduces our ability to grow in the Senior Men’s divisions.
- Some of our existing O35 Men’s players want to continue to play competitive football and are equally ready to play in a competitive O45 team.
- An O45 Men’s team will attract new players and families to the club, hopefully, this will flow through to juniors also.
- Harbord F.C. will have a presence in another division in the MWFA.
