On 25 June the NSW Government has announced a stay-at-home order from midnight tonight until midnight next Friday to any person who lives or works in any of the four Local Government Areas (LGAs) below:
- City of Sydney;
- Randwick;
- Waverley; and
- Woollahra.
The specific stay-at-home order around working in the Sydney CBD will have a significant impact on the ability of all senior teams to be able to field teams from Saturday.
As we have said right from the start of the COVID-19 disruption (in 2020) we would be firm in following all Public Health and NSW Government advice.
With that in mind, the MWFA has made the decision not to play ALL senior games due to be played on Saturday and Sunday. This includes:
- Men’s U18s
- Men’s Premier League
- Men’s AL competitions
- Men’s Over 35
- Men’s Over 45
- Women’s U18s
- Women’s Premier League
- Women’s AL competitions
- Women’s Over 40s
A decision on when and if these games will be replayed will be made when we get a better understanding of the length of the stay-at-home order.
FRIDAY NIGHT (tonight) MATCHES
All matches scheduled for tonight will go ahead as the stay-at-home order does not come into play until midnight tonight.
These competitions are:
- Men’s U18/1
- Women’s U18/1
- Men’s U21
- Men’s AL4
- Men’s AL5
