Details for the first set of coaching courses in 2025 have been released! These courses will be taught by Manly Warringah FA coaching presenters – they are a great way to introduce yourself to the world of coaching, and they are also highly useful for any coach who would like a refresher.
The courses are free of charge, however, we do ask that attendees register and be punctual to avoid delaying the start of the course, or to avoid missing out on key information at the beginning.
Please note that you need to register as a coach with your club on playfootball before you can register for coaching courses using your FFA number

COACHING COURSES
MWFA would like to thank you for putting your hand up to be a coach this season. Every team needs one, and the players and parents will surely appreciate your time and efforts.
All official Football Australia coaching courses being offered within MWFA this year are detailed and listed below. These will help coaches to run fun, safe and engaging training sessions. We are committed to making Coach Development as flexible and accessible as possible throughout the season, and so more courses will also be added as they are confirmed. We also offer a variety of additional Coach Workshops to compliment these courses (dates and locations to be advised).
MiniRoos courses
This course is designed for coaches of U6s up to U10s, and is also handy for beginner coaches of any age group. You will learn how to run fun, safe & engaging training sessions, keeping your players engaged while picking up new skills. The fully practical environment of the course allows you to pick up coaching tips that will help your team!

Foundation of Football courses@ Cromer Park – 9th March and 30th March
This course is designed for coaches working with beginner to competent level players of varying age groups (U8s up to seniors).
You will learn the basics of techniques, as well as learning about the game’s basic playing principles. Coaches will participate in group discussions and tasks, with the goal of exchanging ideas and experiences. The Foundation of Football course is also a pre-requisite for the C-Diploma.
