The Manly Warringah Football Association has taken the difficult decision to abandon the 2021 MWFA football season due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 and associated restrictions.
The staff and management at the MWFA, after emergency discussions with local clubs, announced the decision on their website saying “The MWFA would like to take this opportunity to thank the volunteers at the clubs, YOUR CLUB, for working so hard for a second year in a row to get teams and players onto the pitch each weekend. It has been a very difficult time for those volunteers and we collectively salute each and every one of them“

Tom England, Harbord F.C. president, wanted to thank all players, volunteers and everyone associated wiht the club for their participation and patience during the 2021 season, saying:
“This season started really well for Harbord F.C. with a boost in the number of registrations, a flying start for the prems and most importantly, a wonderful spirit evident throughout the entire club”
I’d personally like to thank each and every player, family member, volunteer, partner, and sponsor who keeps our club going each year, the passion, commitment and positive attitude of everyone involved makes Harbord Football Club very, very special.
Even though this is a disappointing end to the regular season, we remain hopeful there will be opportunities for players to enjoy football through the summer months as, and when, restrictions ease. Please stay in touch with the MWFA and Harbord F.C. social channels as we share those opportunities as they become available.
Finally, from everyone here at the club, please stay safe and well. Stay close to your loved ones, keep exercising (safely) and remain as positive as you possibly can during these challenging times. We hope you will keep up the passion for pulling on the red, white and blue for Harbord Football Club and we can all get back to playing the game we love as soon as possible.”
Tom England, Harbord F.C. president
